If your business recently upgraded to Windows 11 version 24H2, you may have run into an irritating problem with File Explorer.
File Explorer, the familiar tool used to browse and manage files and folders, is experiencing a glitch with its “See more” menu. This menu, represented by a three-dot icon, typically appears directly below your mouse cursor, providing quick access to essential options like “Select All” and “View Properties.” However, since the update, users are reporting that the menu isn’t behaving as expected.
Instead of appearing where it should, the “See more” menu often jumps to the top of the screen, where it can completely disappear from view. If you’re working in full-screen mode, the glitch can make some menu options entirely inaccessible.
Frustrating, to say the least.
The good news is there’s an easy workaround while Microsoft works on a permanent fix. To regain access to the menu, switch File Explorer from full-screen mode to windowed mode. You can do this by clicking the square icon in the top-right corner of the window (next to the “X” used to close it). In windowed mode, you can resize the File Explorer window to ensure the “See more” menu stays visible, even if it continues to act up.
