Many of our clients don’t have a backup when they begin working with us. But if you have a business, you need to have a backup. The information, documents, pictures, etc. you have are vital to your business and your customers or clients.

There is a simple strategy for making sure this vital information is backed up. It’s called 1-2-3. The first copy, of course, is on your computer. The second copy is somewhere on your network, like a USB drive or NAS storage unit. The third copy is on the cloud. That’s your 1-2-3 strategy for keeping all your vital information backed up.

Let me give you an example why #3 - backing up in the cloud - is so important. Four years ago, one of our client’s building was hit by lightning. All the equipment in the building was fried. Unfortunately for the client, this included his flash drives and USB drive. He didn’t have any cloud backup. He lost a lot of data.

A cloud backup can be encrypted, making it quite secure. In the event of a cyber attack, your local computers and devices can be compromised. But they cannot access your cloud backup. This could be your last chance to restore your business after a cyber attack.
