The ransomware usually gets in from an email or a website link. It goes behind your computers’ operating system, finding all your local files and may also find your servers, anything on your network, and start to encrypt them. As it’s finishing encrypting everything, then it sends the ransomware warning that you have so many hours to pass the ransomware.

The Garmin ransomware was $2.5 million, for example. A smaller business will extort a smaller amount. It just depends on the company. They can figure out what you have. In most cases, victims pay the ransomware, and it can be pretty devastating. It’s a long, tedious process to wipe everything and start from scratch.
